The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) has officially secured a five-acre land parcel in New Shillong Township, establishing its first regional campus beyond Delhi. This marks a powerful stride in decentralizing knowledge and enabling sustainable development in the Northeast.

📍 Shillong’s Knowledge City Advantage

Set amidst renowned institutions like IIM Shillong and NLU Meghalaya, the IICA campus is strategically placed for rich academic synergy. A soon-to-be-developed airport will further enhance access for professionals across India.

💼 Areas of Impact

The Shillong campus will serve as a regional hub for capacity building in Corporate Governance, ESG, CSR, Competition Law, and more—supporting missions like Ease of Doing Business and Vikshit Bharat @2047.

Government leaders from both Centre and State applauded this initiative. DG Shri Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh described the Shillong campus as "our first baby outside Delhi"—a symbol of transformation by transportation.

IICA will collaborate with state universities for specialized programmes tailored to the region’s needs. The institution will continue to train ethical entrepreneurs and professionals who will shape India’s inclusive future.

📅 What to Expect Next

Construction begins this year. Academic programmes will launch soon after, and IICA’s history of training over 300 Northeastern professionals will serve as a strong foundation for future success.
