RPF Rescues Minor Girls Under Operation AAHT

RPF Foils Human Trafficking at Raxaul

Operation AAHT Saves 4 Minor Girls | May 13, 2025

In a commendable multi-agency operation under Operation AAHT, four Nepal-origin minor girls aged between 13 and 17 were rescued by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Raxaul Railway Station. The rescue happened onboard the Satyagrah Express following timely intelligence and coordination between GRP, SSB, Railway Childline, and NGO Prayas.

Alert! The girls were lured with false promises of employment and family support, a common tactic used by traffickers, especially along border regions.

The trafficker was arrested on the spot, and an FIR was registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Juvenile Justice Act, and the Child Labour Act. The minors have been handed over to child welfare authorities for safe rehabilitation.
