Renewable Energy Achievements

India has installed over 223 GW of renewable energy capacity, including 108 GW of solar and 51 GW of wind power—making it one of the top global renewable leaders.

National Green Hydrogen Mission

Launched in 2023 with an allocation of USD 2.4 billion, the mission aims to produce 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030, attract USD 100 billion in investments, and create over 600,000 jobs.

Future Prospects and Challenges

India is progressing rapidly but still faces challenges like high production costs and infrastructure needs. The government is promoting hydrogen hubs and integrated support strategies to address these.
