Challenges and Opportunities

While notable strides have been made, challenges such as access to institutional credit and post-harvest infrastructure remain. The need for better market linkages and outreach for registration campaigns was emphasized.

Government Initiatives

The Government of India has invested Rs. 38,572 crore since 2015 to transform the fisheries sector through various schemes.
