BSG-Bhutan Scouts Meeting

🌍 International Scouting Collaboration

A 24-member delegation from the Bhutan Scouts Association visited the Bharat Scouts & Guides HQ in New Delhi as part of their educational programme. The induction ceremony symbolized the spirit of camaraderie between the two countries.

🤝 Cultural Exchange & Induction Ceremony

The delegation was welcomed with a General Salute and BSG Prayer, followed by the Bhutan Scouts Prayer. Ms. Darshana Pawaskar presented the BSG scarf to Lt. Yashodhara Raj and the Bhutan delegates. Shri Amar B. Chettri delivered the welcome address and introductions.

📜 History & Shared Values

Shri Arup Sarkar narrated the history of the Scout Movement in India, while the Bhutan team expressed deep appreciation for the shared legacy and their training experiences in India over the years, including in Madhya Pradesh.

🏛️ HQ Tour & Activities

  • Explored BSG’s departments and infrastructure
  • Purchased souvenirs, books, and uniforms from the Equipment Shop
  • Watched a documentary on the Tamil Nadu Jamboree

🎁 Memento Exchange

The programme concluded with heartfelt memento exchanges. BSG presented official memorabilia to Bhutan Scouts and Sharda University. The Bhutan delegation reciprocated with tokens of appreciation.

🕊️ Looking Ahead

In her closing remarks, Ms. Pawaskar expressed her commitment to strengthening Indo-Bhutan ties through Scouting and Guiding. She promised enhanced participation for Bhutan in future Jamborees and global scouting events.
